In the 90's we installed voice & X10 home automation systems, only to find them unreliable and difficult. The computer-based systems at the turn of century still required difficult programming was still complicated, expensive and lacking remote support. The Control4 philosophy built on a simple controller box communicating with a wireless ZigBee mesh network has proven to finally provide a reliable simple, complete solution.
